iPhone 6S on its way to Blast Last Year’s 10 Million Record

After all the speculations and rumors regarding Apple’s iPhone 6S, which was unveiled in the action-packed San Francisco event, it is time for you to learn more about this Smartphone model and how you can make a pre-order. It was released alongside the iPhone 6S Plus. The iPhone model comes with new features although it’s almost like its predecessor.

You can now pre-order the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus after their launch on 9th September. Pre-orders kicked off on 12th September and on 25th September, the Smartphone will be available in various stores across 12 countries around the globe. By the end of the year, it will be available in 130 countries worldwide. If you make your pre-order on time, you should get your new gadget by 25th September.

Available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB, the iPhone 6 prices range from 539 to 699 pounds, whereas the 6S Plus model ranges from 619 to 789 pounds as the starting price.

New Feature: 3D Touch

Apple’s new iPhone 6S deploys a new screen technology known as 3D Touch. The technology enables you to ‘pop’ by pressing the screen harder, or ‘peek’ by touching it lightly. For instance, ‘pop’ allows you to open an email and respond to it, whereas ‘peek’ allows you to take a quick peek at an email without opening it, allowing you to back to the inbox menu without using the ‘back’ button.

You can also take a peek at your recently taken photos without leaving the camera app, thanks to the 3D Touch technology.

Quick Actions is another feature that allows you to access shortcuts to App icons that lets you select the app component you want to use. For instance, this feature can allow you to take a selfie by pressing the camera icon, or even update your Facebook status by pressing the Facebook icon without launching the apps.

If you want to find your way home, share your location, mark your location, or search a nearby location; or even call a contact, all you have to do is press the Maps and Phone buttons, respectively. You do not need to tap.

Instead of double clicking the home button, pressing and swiping the screen allows you access all open apps, making multitasking much easier than in earlier models.

Just like MacBook’s track pad and the Apple Watch that uses the 3D Touch technology, you get to feel the screen’s haptic feedback, thanks to the taptic engine that powers it. These are just a few things that this technology can enable you to do.

Specifications and Hardware

The iPhone 6S features a new A9 64-bit chip with 90% faster graphics performance and 70% faster than the A8. This means you can expect your handset to perform at greater speeds. The chip comes with an M9 motion co-processor to help gather data on health and fitness to help it operate more efficiently, and focus on other important tasks.

It also comes bundled with a 2G Touch ID fingerprint sensor that is 2X faster than the first generation counterpart. The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are available in 16, 64, and 128GB model configurations just like their predecessors.

With the advanced LTE and faster Wi-Fi features, you can expect to experience improved internet connectivity.

The iPhone 6S Software

The device is powered by iOS9 and you can activate Siri by uttering the words ‘Hey Siri’ even when your iPhone is unplugged. The Live Photos software located in the camera app will allow you to capture live photos with extra audio and motion before and after you hit the shutter button.

More iPhone 6S Pre-order Set to Beat Last Year’s Record

Just a few days after the pre-order release of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Apple announces an impressive high demand for the smartphones in the market. The company says the pre-orders, just after a single weekend since launch, are ‘on pace’ to beat last year’s 10 million pre-order record of the predecessors, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Last year, Apple recorded 4 million pre-orders within one day, and this year’s data indicates that the firm’s PR approach is different. According to the company, the interest buyers have in the iPhone 6 is ‘exceptionally strong’. The fact that China will host iPhone 6S’s first release date could be attributed to the increase in demand for Apple’s recent handsets; last year, China was not one of iPhone 6’s launch countries.

With the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus launch set for 25th September, 2015, you can expect new features like an improved camera, 3D Touch, and better performance, even though the two models have the same design as their predecessors.
