Steam Machine Now Gettable for Pre-Order

Do you know the name Steam Machine? Have you heard of it? Yes, maybe no? If the latter is true, then let me introduce you this new type of console. I may be wrong, it looks like a console, however, it is a PC that can be used in a way we use consoles. For example, you can plug it with an HDMI cable to your television and play games using Steam’s free operating system and controller (the controller is not free). It is a great device that Valve (the manufacturer) thinks that will do good and maybe revolutionize the way of playing games on PC. Why? We will clarify that in the next section.

Pre-Order and the Steam Machine

There has been lots of hustle around what platform should gamers use to play their favorite games. Some say gaming is the best on PC since the games there have much better graphics and mod support, the other part of the gamers say that playing games is the best on consoles. There is also a debate which console should be the one to play games at and what does a normal gaming PC looks like. Do you think Intel CPUs are better or AMD ones? ATI or NVIDIA for the graphics card? These are pretty hard questions that we can’t solve. That’s why there are forums and blogs, polls for these questions where people can continue to debate each other in a normal way. I think these questions can’t really be solved by a tech blog since it would only summarize up our opinion of the whole question. So, these questions remain unanswered and left for the users of debate forums and blogs to talk about in the means of normal behavior.

The last paragraph shows that there is an endless “war” between the PC and the consoles. That’s why Valve has gotten an idea where they plan to execute an objective that should be reached by building and selling the Steam Machine. The Steam Machine is not a console, it is a solid personal computer that have been designed by a third party company that is working along with Valve. Big companies, like Alienware, are selling their own Machines that has been produced by them in an OEM way. The reason why Valve has had this plan that they want to end the debate between PCs and consoles and show that PCs can have the same function as consoles but in a cheaper more customizable way. What do I mean by that? Let’s just see that you love to play games and you want to buy a console, since you only want to use the device for gaming purposes, no need to “waste your time with building a personal computer”. If you check the prices of the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One your jaws will remain still. Those platforms cost quite a lot and the hardware that is inside the devices are not that great for the price. If you build your personal computers manually then you should know that by the price of the PlayStation 4, for example, you can build yourself a hardcore gaming PC that will run most of the games on very high, if not max graphics. The Steam Machine can be customized in the same way as a normal PC, you can buy the parts for it manually from retail stores and you can either hire a professional to build the system or do it yourself.

The Steam Machine is available for pre-order from now on if you order your product you will receive it almost a month earlier on October 16 instead of the official release date November 10.
